We have new deployment where we are attempting to use VSA and HA for three Win Server 2008 VM. One of these will run Oracle DB too. We also have around 20 thin clients connecting with View 5.
Two ESXi 5.1 are installed on two HP DL360p gen8 with Xeon ES-2620 (6 core), 88Gt RAM each and 6+1 460Gb 10k SAS disk.
Now if we want to have those thin clients and MS VM available in HA manner, do we need to install vCenter on third server? We have understood that for VSA deployment it's better to have vCenter installed outside the VSA cluster. But if this third vCenter fails, will we loose all thin clients too or is it only management what fails?
Would it be better to install vCenter on same DL360 servers with network disk or some other method?
