Windows stuck on a blue screen (not a BSOD)

Hello everyone,

I'm running into an annoying issue with my VDI environment lately.

Sometimes, when a user logs on one of the linked-clones he can be stuck on a blue screen, or maybe a blue "wallpaper" (it's NOT a BSOD).

The desktop is a blue wallpaper with bginfo. There is nothing on the screen, no start menu, no taskbar, absolutely nothing. Just a blue wallpaper.

I'm able to acces to the task manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL. I tried to execute 'explorer.exe' from there, the process appears in the list but the desktop does not show up. I was able to check the event viewer but nothing wrong. Nothing wrong in the view agent logs neither. The user appears as 'Connected' on View Admin console.

This issue appears from time to time, there is no pattern to reproduce it. My linked-clones environment is also configured with Persona roaming profiles. I'm pretty sure this isn't related to a roaming profile loading issue since the issue occured for users with a profile of 5 mb or less.

So did you guys ever run into a similar issue? Maybe an issue related to bginfo?

Thanks,

palpe
