hosts previously prepared by vcd 5.1

hi

in a lab environment I prepared two esxi 5.1 hosts with vcd and deployed a test cloud

vcd was subsequently removed but the esxi hosts were not 'unprepared'

Intend to redeploy vcd 5.1

I don't want to un-prepare and prepare again (un-prepare and prepare requires maintenance mode which is time consuming to vmotion the VMs and I would like to avoid that)

How can I recognize the previously prepared hosts when deploying a new vcd 5.1?
