Hi
Would like to know below procedure is correct or not when enable the vMotion in vCenter
i have two esxi Server, they are esxi A & esxi B, they have their own storage, its not sharing the same storage, & i want to move one vm machine from esxi A datastore to esxi B datastore
1. create a VMkenrel internet on both esxi server with vMotion enabled,
2. create a new standard switch
3. add a network card to the active adapter on the switch (does it means it needs to use the second physical Adapter from server ?) if i have only one physical adapter connected with network cable, does it works)
4. enable vMotion service for this port
5. provide a prople IP address for the new port (connect a live on a cable directly between the two hosts) and choose a subnet 192.168.1.0/24
6. now should have a new vSwitch with a VMKernel port dedicated for vMotion
7, go to vCenter, esxi A n choose a vm machine that i want to move, right click "migrate"
8. click "change host"
9. select destination resource "esxi B"
10. Done
