Re: SRM install at two sites - SSO headaches!

Yeah, it's probably great if you're running a cloud, but for a standard enterprise virtual infrastructure it is a complete waste of time. I fail to see why they can't cluster it without the need for load balancers! Either that or spend a fortune on vCenter Heartbeat which was previously unnecessary - most likely that will be the way we're going, unless VMware can provide supported info and config for load balancing/clustering SSO.

 

Don't get me wrong - I have *no* intention of this failing over automatically, I want the option that in the event of a major disaster at either site I can hit the big "FAILOVER" button and have everything switch over to the other site without issues, something which SRM is apparently quite good for. SSO should really be removed, it brings nothing to VMware except adds an extra thing to go wrong
