I am working for a customer implementing vSphere 5.1 and View 5.1.
I have written a guide and some batch scripts to automate and streamline the implementation of custom certificates in vSphere 5.1 and View 5.1. Attached are
1) An implementation guide
2) Folders for the different services containing batch jobs and dummy certificates. Replace the dummy certificates with your own.
Per 19/1-2013 the implementation should be according to editions of KB2034833 with child articles and KB2033588.
The scripts and guide are based on using a CNAME record as SSO load balancer and SSO in a basic setup without a load balancer in front. Using a CNAME record as load balancer is verified working, but not supported by VMware. The only explanation I could get from VMware is, that using CNAME hasn't been through their Product Qualification, but they are working on it.
Together with VMware I am working on a solution using F5 in front as load balancer. Right now I am waiting for a guide from VMware and F5 on how to implement. When I receives the guide, I will implement and test. If I am are ending with implementing the F5 as load balancer I intend to post an update to guide and scripts.
