This is a multiple part question...
I am not familiar with centos KVM. I am guessing it is Linux based type of virtualization solution.
In any case, we need to look at KVM and ESXi / vSphere 5 for virtualization and cloud work.
questions:
1.
From what I gather, KVM requires an OS to be installed (so it is type 2 hypervisor).
Also, ESXi can be managed under vCenter or vCOPS but what about KVM, is there a management solution similar to vCenter?
How does vSphere ESXi compare to KVM with regard to performance, options (snapshots, clones, migration, security), and overall cloud integration?
2.
Can VMware Converter 5 be used to convert a VM running on KVM over to ESXi 5 under vCenter 5?
3.
How do the securityoptions compare between the two?
thanks
