Hello,
Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I too have not VMWARE experience and an entertaining the thought of going down this road.
The VCP-Cloud does not require any courses to be taken. I guess the VCP is much different than the VCP-Cloud cert but odd that the suggested course seems to be the same. I guess the "Be a VCP5-DV" covers this course as it's required.

There are two paths to earning your VCP-Cloud certification.
Path 1
1.Be a VMware Certified Professional 5 – Datacenter Virtualization (VCP5-DV)
2.Pass the IaaS exam ◦Suggested Courses to help you prepare: ■vCloud Director: Install, Configure, Manage
■vCenter Chargeback Fundamentals
etc.....
◦These courses can help you prepare for the IaaS exam, but they are not required if you are following this path to earn your VCP-Cloud certification.
The VMWARE cert waters do seem to be a little muddy to me. It's hard for me to choose\find which path to take.
