We have a 4.1 vSphere environment wanting to upgrade to 5.1 .  Testing the upgrade path in our LAB from 4.1 to 5.1

Having a few issues upgrading using the vCenter 5.1B. Did a simple install of SSO,

Setup a new Database on a seperate SQL 2005 standard server for the SSO server DB as per instructions this is also where the vcenter DataBase is  runnning.

My plan was to install SSO & Inventory service on the same virtual server as the vcenter. Thought this was appropriate as we have small implementation of Twenty Six Hosts on ESXi 4.1 and one vcenter (no other vcenters). If this is seems wrong please feel free to correct my decision.

Steps i've done so far

Selected simple install. SSO successfully installed however when it went on to then install the "vcenter Inventory Service"  I get the error message:

"Could not contact the lookup Service. Please check the VM_ssreg.log in system temporary folder for details."

Checked some of the troubleshooting papers and checked the following:

I've Checked the DNS lookup/reverse lookups seem okay.

Restarted SSO service which starts fine.

I tried the URL https://vcenter.domain.com:7444/lookupservice/sdk I get first screen their was a problem with the websites sercurity certificate,

I then select continue and recieve http status - /lookupservice/sdk not available.

Is their an issue with the vcenters 4.1 certficate ?

I've attached the VM_ssreg.log edited out the relevant names.

Any recommendations where to start looking for the issue. Thanks.
