Deploying and customizing a VM from template

Hi Everyone,

I'm a complete newbie to Orchestrator and I only have about 6 months experience with VMware as a whole so please bear with me.

I ulimately need to create a workflow that will take inputs from a script tied to our order management system. That script would provide the various inputs to the workflow to customize the VM and guest OS from template. The workflow would then deploy the VM per those settings.

Is this something better done by using both Orchestrator and VCD or will Orchestrator alone be sufficient ?

Is this probably the simplest way to do this ?
