Do you only have the .vmdk files or do you have the .vmx (configuration) file too? Please post a list of files (dir *.* /oen).
If you only have the .vmdk file(s) you may create a new "Custom" VM using VMware Workstation and instead of creating a new virtual disk in the wizard, select "Use existing disk" to select the one you have.
If you have the .vmx file too, use "File" --> "Open" to add the VM to VMware Workstation.
