Need help- parallel virtual machines can't tunnel through each other.

I have this question I have been trying to solve on my own for quite some time.  I really could use some advice on it, as I've tried googling and searching around and keep receiving so many conflicting answers.  This is my first post requesting assistance so please try to understand what I am after before suggesting a solution-

I have three VM running side by side, all WinXP 32bit.  I am using VM Workstation8 running on Win7 64bit.

What I need is so simple, but so complex it seems-  I am connecting to work from home over a VPN.  Due to the nature of my job, I need to obscure my company's IP when browsing out the other sideof their network.  So, I am running a nested VPN -a second instance from a totally independent VPN provider-  which I have found possible on my system only if I install the corporate VPN on my base OS (Win7), and then boot up a single VM with my private VPN running inside it, and out through the base OS VPN through NAT.  Double VPN.  It works fine.

-I don't want that.  Due to security concerns, I want the base OS out of the picture.

I want to remove the base OS out of the picture entirely and run two or three VM side by side, tunneling through each other, eg. VM(1) -corporate VPN client, VM(2) -firewall-OS, VM(3) -private VPN.   -Directly in a chain.  I want my base OS protected and out of the picture to hackers and viruses.

Doing this should be 'easy'.  It isn't.  My VM can't even see each other.   I haven't the idea why.  Secondly, it has been suggested I try installing the loopback adapter and using that.  Will that work?  Is that the simplest solution.

Surely I am not the only one to have thought of this, but literally I haven't found anything useful in the discussions.  Usually only people asking idiotic "why would you want to do that?" questions.

I need a solution that is simple and hopefully someone here can help.
